Raw, catchy, impulsive and way too much fun, shoot the messenger is simply a must listen. There are hooks and tempo changes from all angles, keeping the listener on edge and wondering what the hell is coming next. This is an inspired effort; 40 minutes of music that will never grow old.

The Bakelite Age has a knack for drawing on the dark claustrophobia which so defines the Melbourne scene, infusing it with eccentricity and black humour then repackaging it as fuzzy noise pop. No easy feat I can tell you.
